I always tell my clients: anger is usually one of two things: the cloak of sorrow or the armor of fear. There is a third option, righteous anger, but it is difficult to know when it comes from that place when you're still operating in trauma and programming.
So when in anger, or any shade of anger, such as irritation, annoyance, frustration, and so on, ask yourself this question: what is under this emotion? Is it closer to sorrow, or fear, or both? Observe what comes up and explore those emotions and their sources and the symptom of anger will disappear as the true root of your reaction is revealed and healed.
